Wood Carvings at Amboy City Park

"Begins the Trail" Reagan Statue
River Street
A bronze statue of Ronald Reagan, astride the likeness of a palomino horse he rode nearly 60 years ago, sits at the head of the Heritage Crossing Riverfront Plaza located on River Street in downtown Dixon.  The statue, created by local artist Don Reed, serves as the centerpiece of Heritage Crossing, an open-air plaza that looks out onto the Rock River.

Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home

President Ronald Reagan’s boyhood home has been restored to the 1920s period. Volunteers lead the tours and tell the story of Ronald Reagan’s formative years. Open daily from April 1 to November 15: Monday - Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Closed mid-November through March.
