RONALD REAGAN
TRAIL
Ronald Reagan was born in Tampico, grew up in Dixon, where he played football,
delivered newspapers, and was a lifeguard at Lowell Park. He attended Eureka
College where he was active in theatre and was involved in student government.
Reagan went on to be a sportscaster, an actor, a governor and 40th president
of the United States.
Now visitors to Northwest Illinois can learn about the villages, towns, and cities that played a role in the experiences that formed the character of the young man who was to become our country's 40th President. The Ronald Reagan Trail is a self-guided auto tour through 13 communities that shaped the life of Ronald Wilson Reagan.
Visit our web-site to learn about the events and attractions offered by each community along the Trail as well as the fascinating "GeoCache" treasure hunt that brings these communities together.
