This museum tells the history of the Lena area. Highlights include a Civil War regimental flag and an extensive clothing collection, plus a summer kitchen, a log schoolhouse, a barn filled with antique vehicles and tools, a caboose, a chapel and a general store. Open Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Park

This beautiful 715 acre state park with 40 acre lake derives its name
from a combination of the town of Lena and the Latin word for water, aqua.
The large tracts of wooded land include oak, hickory, walnut and pine trees.
Woodland flowers are on display especially in the spring and early summer,
and wildlife is abundant. There is boating, fishing, swimming, picnic and
playground areas, shelters, trails for hiking and cross-country skiing, equestrian
trails and camping. Camping supplies, bait and boat rental are available
at the camp store which is open from Memorial Day - Labor Day: 5 a.m.
to 10 p.m. daily.

Stagecoach Golf Course

Located on the historic Stagecoach Trail that runs between Lena and
Galena, Stagecoach Golf Course dates back to the mid- 1920’s. It is
a nine-hole, 35 par, 2,905 yard course set on rolling hills with mature trees
and wildlife. The ninth hole is a signature hole and is viewed from the clubhouse.
Golfers and the general public are invited to stop by the clubhouse for
great food and drink at a good price.

Stephenson-Black Hawk Trail
This scenic 13 mile trail for hiking and biking through the rolling hills
of northwest Illinois offers both history and nature. The trail, as if follows
county and township roads, is partially paved. Attractions include early
pioneer sites, one of the highest natural points in the state, and also Black Hawk
War sites. Trail maps are available.
